Do you feel you will ever need more holes on each set of rings? I saw one with rings of 192 holes, then 144 holes, then 120 holes, then 90, 72 and 48 holes. I am making my own and figured I would add a few more rings for 24, and 18 holes. Is that just overkill?

Stewart: Long time viewer - first time commenter. I want to know where you acquired the positionable dust collection hose. I have looked on line but I cannot find a four inch version. Thanks in advance. Mac from the US.

Good video, but I would expect more than 60 holes as a woodturner that does a lot of open segmented work, the most you can do is 30 segments per ring, why can us British wood turner's not have what the Americans can get.

Hi Stewart, this was my first live zoom and I very much enjoyed it thanks. I thought afterwards, you mentioned using iridescent paints, I just wandered how this would work as generally as you know they go on ebonising lacquer so how would it work with the dark edges. Or would you simply just do the same and the dark edges act as the lacquer. Perhaps I’m overthinking it, Thanks

Stewart.... I greatly enjoy your videos, especially those with your experiments with coloring. I may have said this before.... my personal preference would be to stop colouring before you do. I think the pieces need less colour embellishments rather than more. This may be my only myself showing a personal preference 😅

The yellow sets the entire thing off. Beautiful!

One of those techniques that can be easy or difficult to get good results. Wet paint blends and dry paint makes layers. And semi-dry lumps up! But when it works properly, it can really look good. Not personally fond of lime green, but the piece looks really good.

I wouldn’t have said awful, but the red, white, and blue plaid was not one of my favorites. This yellow/blue swirl, on the other hand, is quite nice. Thanks for sharing it!

Nearly three years later and I'm getting around adding color to bowls. After my third bowl I realize less is more.

You could plug it into a dimmer switch to slow it down. Most of them are rated for 250watts. A 13A plug, a dimmer switch in a switch box, a socket in a box and a length of 3core flex is all you need.
